A place where you can relax your mind and body, Watanabe Tomi-Shoten.

The curry I'm going to introduce is from Watanabe Tomishoten!

Watanabe Tomishoten is a curry shop in a secluded area near Tomonaga Bakery. There are many ornamental plants and Asian goods in the store, and pleasant music is always playing. The store has an atmosphere that makes it easy for one person to enter, and the food and music make you feel at home.

This time I ordered the Aigake Curry! This curry is so gorgeous, it has five different curries in one dish! On that particular day, there were five types of curry: dal curry, cauliflower curry, mackerel curry, radish curry, and pumpkin curry! And in the center, there is papad on top of basmati rice.

They sort of blend together in the picture, but all five had completely unique flavors. Of the five, I particularly liked the mackerel curry. I heard that fish curry is often made in India, but I had never had fish curry because I had always wondered if the fish would make it, you know, fishy. However, contrary to my doubts, this mackerel curry was not fishy in a bad way at all, but the taste of the mackerel was concentrated and matched the spices. I'd like to try making mackerel curry next time!

The five curries can be eaten separately, but I recommend mixing them together at the end. All the flavors will mix just right, and a new curry will be born.

Also, although I only ordered curry this time, this restaurant has a wide variety of drinks. I think I will order a drink next time I visit. The curry is relatively mild but has a unique taste, so I recommend it to people who are new to spicy curry and want to taste authentic curry! Also, all the plants and sundries in the store are available for purchase, so if you like sundries go there!
